IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) made a comeback on social media three months since the unfortunate stampede that happened at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB won their maiden IPL title on June 3. That followed a celebration for the RCB fans at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, which turned into an unfortunate calamity. As many as 11 lives were lost and close to 50 were left injured in the unfortunate incident
Post this incident, the Chinnaswamy stadium was deemed unfit to host nig events and the Women’s World matches scheduled at the venue were also shifted.
Strong reactions came from Yathindra Siddaramaiah, son of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who said that the government was under pressure to felicitate the team, but there were lapses in assessing the ground situation. He also pointed out political connections behind the stampede and said that the city police was inadequate in providing proper security and prevent the incident from happening.
Now, three months since the incident, the RCB franchise has written a heartfelt post on theix X handle saying that they are back after a long gap and there are here to make up for the lives in the unfortunate incident.
The franchise announced their new venture “RCB Cares” which has been set up especially to honour the fans who were a part of RCB’s celebrations on the day.

Story Of RCB's Maiden IPL Title Win
Talking about RCB’s maiden IPL title win, they beat Punjab Kings by six runs in a thrilling win at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first, RCB posted 190 runs for nine wickets, with Virat Kohli top-scoring for the side. Krunal Pandya then weaved his magic with the ball, picking up two wickets for 17 runs and being instrumental behind RCB’s win. PBKS fell short by six runs as they finished on 184 runs for seven wickets.
