The UAE T20I Tri-Series 2025 kicks off on August 29 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Pakistan, Afghanistan and hosts UAE will battle it out in the competition, which will wrap up with the final on September 7. Coming just days before the Asia Cup, the series is being viewed as an important dress rehearsal for all three sides.
The tournament will feature six matches before the summit clash, giving each team the chance to test their players and fine-tune plans under match pressure.
The UAE will be led by Muhammad Waseem. The side will enter the series as underdogs. They will be eager to prove themselves against stronger oppositions.
Afghanistan, under Rashid Khan’s leadership, arrive with a strong squad. They will hope to sharpen their game before the Asia Cup. They are also the favourites to win the tri-series.
Pakistan have announced a 17-member squad, led by Salman Ali Agha. With senior players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan dropped, the focus is on providing exposure to new talent.
