Sri Lanka will tour Zimbabwe for a 3-match T20I series ahead of Asia Cup 2025, starting from September 3. The board has announced the 17-man squad led by Charith Asalanka.
Sri Lanka have retained their core squad alongside the likes of Kusal Mendis, Matheesha Pathirana, Dasun Shanaka, Maheesh Theekshana, among others. Sri Lanka recently lost a T20I series against Bangladesh 2-1 at home.

Uncapped Duo Get the Nod as Chameera Returns
The Sri Lankan cricket board has called up two new uncapped players, Vshen Halambage and Dushan Hemantha, who are in line to make their debut during the series. Meanwhile, pacer Dushmantha Chameera has been added to the squad after missing out on international matches for over a year.

Hasaranga Ruled Out with Injury
However, Sri Lanka will be without Wanindu Hasaranga, who last played in January 2025, and will miss the Asia Cup 2025 as well, as he’s yet again sidelined due to injury.
Sri Lanka are expected to have a similar squad for the continental cup as they travel directly from Zimbabwe to the UAE, with the tournament beginning two days after the end of the Zimbabwe series.
Sri Lanka will face Bangladesh to kickstart their continental cup campaign on September 13th. They’ll then face Hong Kong and Afghanistan as their group stage opponents.
