BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has expressed his interest in developing Olympic training centers in and around stadiums at no cost to the government, according to a source from the sports ministry.
The sports ministry is looking to create sports centers focused on identifying 100 to 200 talented athletes across the country. The aim is to nurture these athletes for the upcoming Olympic cycle and future cycles.

BCCI Commits to Supporting Olympic Training Infrastructure
As a financially strong organization, the BCCI is ready to assist in developing these Olympic centers, which could alleviate some financial burden on the government. The source from the sports ministry stated,
“The ministry aims to establish Olympic centers for every sport, where it will identify and train 100 to 200 talented athletes across different age groups for this Olympic cycle and the next.”

A meeting was held today between the sports minister and representatives from 58 corporations, all of whom expressed interest in this initiative. Notably, the BCCI is prepared to cover all expenses for two or three sports. The source added,
“BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has shown a strong commitment to this cause. He mentioned that sports like baseball, which share similarities with cricket, could be particularly successful with the BCCI's support.”

Furthermore, the BCCI had previously funded 8.5 crores for preparations leading up to the 2024 Olympics.
